While kite flying is allowed on the beach, there is a separate area that is designated solely for kite flying. Brisk ocean winds from Nantucket Sound make wind surfing a very appealing activity here. However, swimming is the number one activity visitors pursue at West Dennis Beach. The gentle surf and cool water temperatures make a great combination for an invigorating swim.

Dennis is a well-developed town so wildlife is limited to sightings of some typical seabirds such as gulls and sandpipers.

No pets or alcohol allowed on the beach. Parking spaces are available at a fee. The spaces abut the edge of the beach so your car is very accessible during your stay.
